Air-raid shelter no. 25 - the Bilker Hochbunker on the corner of Aachener Straße and Karolingerstraße was built as such in 1942. With its conversion into an art and cultural space by Bilker Bunker gGmbH, the history continues to be written. Once intended as a shelter, the Bilker Bunker has become a protected space for experimental formats. Since summer 2023, changing exhibitions, artist talks, performances and bar evenings with DJs and concerts have been held here and in the music bar Schleuse Zwei.
