Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal

To mark its completion in 1900, the young Richard Strauss directed an orchestra in the Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal, and more than 100 years later Sir Simon Rattle was very enthusiastic about the building’s acoustics. The famous British conductor rated the Grand Hall of the historical building as one of the best concert halls in Europe. The City of Düsseldorf is glad to allow others to also benefit from the advantages of this venue: both the highly praised hall, with seating for up to 1,500 people, and the eight smaller rooms can be hired for events. For people who are not familiar with the location: Wuppertal is located about 30 kilometres east of Düsseldorf and is 30 minutes’ drive from Düsseldorf Airport.
