Düsseldorf Convention recognised as most innovative convention bureau

Düsseldorf Convention is delighted to win the international award for “Most Innovative Convention Bureau 2022”.

The award was presented by the illustrious UK industry magazine LUXlife. Citing the reasons for the award, the judges said that Düsseldorf Marketing GmbH’s business unit – only set up in 2017 – is renowned worldwide for its impeccable services. The judges go on to say: “Thanks to its bespoke and tailored service, customers can enjoy the great quality of life in the Rhine metropolis.”

For the director of Düsseldorf Convention, Jens Ihsen, this award is a great honour. “It shows that we’re on the right track, and that we’ve used the crisis to establish new formats for city and convention marketing,” he says.

In August 2021, Ihsen and his team welcomed more than 130 participating associations to the digital event “Düsseldorf Verbändetag XL”. For that one-day event, Düsseldorf Convention developed a programme tailored to the needs of an association events planner which was digitally streamed from the PSD BANK DOME streaming studio in Düsseldorf. 

In 2022, Düsseldorf Convention is also aiming to expand its global links by taking a customer-oriented approach, and offering its customers customised events.
“In an increasingly complex environment, artificial intelligence and the platform economy can help us develop groundbreaking new business models and create new criteria for measuring success,” Jens Ihsen says.
