Europe`s leading conference for audio professionals is returning to Düsseldorf

November 6, 2023

"Ears wide open!" is the motto this month at the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf: Sound professionals from various fields will come together from November 8 to 11, 2023, for the 32nd Tonmeistertagung (tmt32) in the state capital. With an expanded exhibition area and an extensive congress program, the pro-audio community event of the year offers participants high-level inspiration and exchange.

tmt32 with an expanded exhibition area

The Tonmeistertagung is growing: This year, around 650 square meters of exhibition space will be occupied by 100 exhibitors representing more than 120 brands—a new record for Europe's largest pro-audio congress. Some of the exhibiting manufacturers have already announced their intention to use the event as a platform for presenting their technical innovations.

In addition to the expanded exhibition area, participating sound engineers, decision-makers, producers, artists, manufacturers, developers, and scientists can look forward to an extensive congress program. More than 150 individual contributions will be presented in six rooms and on an open stage within the congress area of tmt32. The broad spectrum of topics ranges from acoustics to networked audio and video technology, from immersive audio to mastering, from research and development to live sound and theater, and much more. The complete program can be found at: https://tonmeistertagung.com/en/program/congress/

Platform for exchange and innovation

The Tonmeistertagung, held every two years, provides the industry with a platform for exchange and innovation and is also a highlight on the Düsseldorf Congress GmbH's event calendar. "The Tonmeistertagung is the central event for the pro-audio community in Europe. We are proud to be the host of this groundbreaking event that brings together sound art and technical innovations to shape the future of the audio experience," says Maria Kofidou, Managing Director of Düsseldorf Congress GmbH.

"Normally, as sound professionals, we work behind the scenes, behind the microphones, mixing consoles, and speakers to make others audible. The Tonmeistertagung is our major event, where our work, our technical and artistic capabilities, and our community are in the spotlight," notes Stefani Renner, Managing Director of the Verband Deutscher Tonmeister e. V. "On Saturday, we also invite all students and potential apprentices or prospective students to the congress for free to raise awareness among the next generation about our exciting industry and training opportunities in our field."
