The WELLEM Düsseldorf

April 19, 2021

The Wellem is the new luxury boutique hotel in Düsseldorf and opened the doors for the first time in November 2020 after an extensive rebranding. This hotel is the first of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Germany.

The greatest feature of the modern hotel is the extraordinary history. Many Dusseldorfers still know the building as a courthouse. The large entrance hall is the heart of the hotel and amazes visitors as soon as they enter. The rooms of the former courthouse from the early 19th century blend with a modern and stylish interior design that invites guests to feel at home.

The Wellem is characterized by the baroque prince from Düsseldorf Jan Wellem (1658-1716), whose passion for art and music is reflected in almost every detail in the building and suites.

Located in the heart of Düsseldorf's city centre, the hotel resembles a luxurious residential neighbourhood with winding paths and opportunities for every visitor. In the hotel the guests are offered the highest and best comfort with 102 studios and suites and impresses with a bright and stylish design. Visitors can enjoy peace and relaxation, but also a living pleasure with absolute feel-good flair during a stay. Each suite is generous designed and has a separate living- and sleeping area. All studios and suites are equipped with the latest in-room entertainment system.

The hotel also has an own art gallery, Studio 44, where renowned artists exhibit their works. The well-known Wellem Floor offers rooms in the Terrace Art Suite category. These suites are dedicated to art, which attracts visitors especially because of the house paintings by Leon Löwentraut and Julian Schnabel. These rooms are another feature of the hotel that reflects Jan Wellem's passion for art.

It is also good to know that the hotel is the perfect venue for events of any kind. Let it be a romantic wedding, a birthday party or business meetings – The Wellem hotel offers multiple event possibilities in unique function rooms. Worth knowing is that all rooms have daylight, are multifunctional and have the most modern technology.

The Andreas Quartier and The Wellem have made a name for themselves with a wide range of gastronomic diversity. Whether a premium steak at MASH, local fine dining at FRANKS or a relaxing afternoon tea accompanied by piano live music in the lobby are just some of the culinary highlights The Wellem. Leisure facilities such as the hotel's own fitness room or the lounge on the 2nd floor offer guests a balance to everyday life. Let yourself be impressed by unique experiences, a formative architecture and the attention to detail and experience The Wellem during your next stay in Düsseldorf.
